1. Antihistamines
Antihistamines may cause side effects such as dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, dizziness, headache, nausea, restlessness, sleep problems, sweating, tachycardia (rapid heartbeat), and vomiting. These drugs may interact with gabapentin and increase its risk of toxicity.
2. Beta-blockers
Beta blockers may decrease the effectiveness of gabapentin. If you take beta blockers, talk to your doctor about how they affect gabapentin.
3. Cimetidine
Cimetidine may increase the risk of serious side effects if you take gabapentin. Talk to your doctor before taking cimetidine while you're taking gabapentin. You may need to adjust the dose of Gabapentin Ruined My Life or stop using both medications at once.
4. Digoxin
Digoxin may increase the risk of side effects if you take both gabapentin and digoxin together. Your doctor may want to lower your dose of gabapatin or change your dosage schedule.
5. Diuretics
Diuretics may cause low blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, headache, muscle cramps, nausea, rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, and swelling. Be careful not to use diuretics while you're taking gaba-pental.
6. HMG CoA reductase inhibitors
HMG CoA reductases inhibitors may increase the risk of liver damage if you take gabepentin. Talk to your healthcare provider before starting any new medication.
7. Insulin
Insulin may cause low blood sugar levels, increased thirst, fatigue, hunger, weight gain, weakness, and trouble sleeping. Do not skip meals or reduce your insulin dose without talking to your doctor first.
